Meet Jeff Morton

Jeff Morton is a dedicated biblical scholar, passionate teacher of God’s Word, and a country boy at heart. He lives in Maryville, Tennessee, with his wife and family — three daughters, one son-in-law, one granddaughter, and (as he likes to say) “one more on the way.”

With more than 35 years of immersive study and ministry experience, Jeff has devoted his life to understanding and communicating the Scriptures with clarity and faithfulness. Rooted in a strong Christian heritage of church planters, pastors, and ministry leaders, he has served in both full-time and part-time ministry roles for many years.

Jeff’s teaching is approachable, substantive, and highly relatable. As a country boy who grew up in the South, he connects easily with everyday people. He delivers solid, grounded, context-based biblical teaching with no fluff — focusing on careful exegesis, historical accuracy, and theological depth so that anyone can understand what the biblical authors actually meant.

Beyond the classroom and pulpit, Jeff has extensive international ministry experience. He has worked among indigenous people in remote regions of the Amazon Basin — building projects, bringing clean water to villages, and conducting outreach and pastors’ conferences in places few outsiders ever reach. He has also served in Africa and Sudan, where he has been actively involved in helping persecuted Christians, including efforts to free those held in slavery. Jeff is a strong supporter of Christian Solidarity International (CSI) and remains passionate about practical mission work that demonstrates the love of Christ around the world.
